loan account problem

Wed Nov 06, 2013 11:00 pm
I am new to kmymoney and so far I'm really impressed. I have been using MSMoney since the late nineties and already can see that "KMM" is as good or better.
However when I set up a loan account I entered the wrong loan amount . I entered 20000.00 instead of 2000.00. After registering a payment I discovered the error. I have been trying to correct the mistake but can't seem to find out how. So i tried to delete the account following the instructions in the handbook but the delete button on the drop down menu is grayed out. I also tried to "pay off " the incorrect balance but this didn't work either. This is no major problem as it doesn't affect the way the application works as far as keeping track of my transactions but I would like to correct this any way. By the way i am running this on Linux Mint-debian 64 bit with the Mate desktop (not KDE).
Any help will be appreciated.

Delete the schedule for the loan, then delete the loan account and start over.
