I have a really odd problem on a report.
![]() In Nov I bought some Royal Mail shares and entered in the software I sold half in January. In my report I want any share sales to be shown as "income" so I tick the box show transfers. ![]() The share sale was entered correctly in portfolio and cash balance transferred to the brokerage cash account and subsequently to my current account ![]() Now this was the only shares transaction in Jan 2014 I sold 227 shares at a price of £5.748 per share and £1304.796 less fee of £17.50 = £1287.30 This is the amount I received and amount that went through. Why therefore does my report of January show a transfer from Royal Mail for £1357.46 a totally erroneous figure which skews my report for January 2014 and shows an incorrect surplus on income & expenses Can anyone help. I have racked my brain for any reason for this. Any help much appreciated as accurate reports are vital ![]() |

Did you check the shares prices for the date of the sale?

Hi..
Thanks for your reply ![]() I update my stock on line pretty much daily. what I did do was update that particular stock "manually" with the correct price for the day of sale. It made no difference to the figure quoted in the report ![]() Pete |

How about other reports, like the investment performance report? Does it show the correct amount?
What version of KMyMoney are you using?

I'm puzzled. Could you file a bug and provide an anonymized file?
That's the fastest way to reproduce the issue, with a file based on your numbers but with no personal identifiable data.

Go to Save As, Select Anonymized in file type, enter a name.
The file extension has to be .anon.xml Open it again to make sure it has no personal information. Then create a report with an easy name that I can use to identify and reproduce the problem.

Hi
I think I have managed to sort it out. The Portfolio Investment account was not actually a sub account of investments I therefore created a portfolio 2 as a sub account of investments together with a brokerage 2 account. I then moved all the transactions to the new accounts and ensured all was well and deleted the old accounts. i then created the report again clearing the portfolio tab and it comes out with the correct figure! The only thing is in the expanded investments tree the portfolio brokerage gives the correct cash balance but the portfolio account itself shows zero. Yet when minimized the total value of investments displays correctly I assume this is normal. Thanks for all your help |

That's normal, yes, and expected behaviour.
Glad you could work it out.
