The first item should be a checkbox to select whether to use finance::quote. Check it.

Look this... http://it.tinypic.com/r/288poib/8
This configuration page isn't the same menu that you say?
I don't see anything that refers to FINANCE.QUOTE

No, you have to edit the stock. Right-click on it, and go through the pages until you find the online update settings for it.

It's a checkbox, it's not an option in the dropbox.
It should be before the dropdown.

If you don't see it, it's not installed in a path found by KMyMoney.

1) Mutual fund, it doesn't matter much
2) ISIN
4) idem

for items 3 and 5, you will have to try what works, but it's easy to change those settings once you've created the investment.

I can't actually look at the data on the screenshot because the ksnapshot window is on top.

Anyway, it might be the case that it's not possible to update it online, as another user already said

I'm sorry that you no longer want to answer ..

However, I did so... I built portfolio with the site Morningstar.it and keep it monitored in this way.
In the background is very simple and practical and I think kmymoney should work just the same way and everything would be easier.

It's not that I don't want to answer, just that I'm out of ideas.

We depend on services like Yahoo finance or finance::quote to get the online updates, but they are not always reliable. When broken, the most common stocks are fixed faster, the more arcane ones require more knowledge and may not work for longer.

If you can find this stock in Yahoo and post the url, maybe we can find a way to retrieve the info.

Excuse me .. I have misunderstood

I can't help you, because Yahoo doesn't know this and other titles ... I don't know why ..

So as I said MORNINGSTAR.IT yes it does, and I see that this website is already included in the drop-down menu ...
Can't You use that ..?

Have you tried to select it in the drop-down menu? Does it work afterwards?

Yes I tried but doesn't work.
Morningstar appears in the drop-down menu only after putting tick in finance:quote box.
