but only to Vanguard.com
Opensuse 12.3 KDE 4.10.5.R1 KmYMoney 4.6.6 I was previously running KMM version 4.6.42 and all was well until Monday 9/8/2014. At that time, the Vanguard update started erroring with a message like Signon invalid error 15500. I can signon directly with no problems. Then I noticed that Vanguard posted some notices about making updates to their site affecting Quicken users. So I figured that updating to KMM 4.6.6 would possibly solve my problem. It did not and I still get the same error messages. Any ideas ? In the config-online-update section of KMM I tried using different options for quicken, Quicken 2008 is the default, and I tried 2011, and 2014 all to no avail. Can you help ? thanks, George |

Since this is a login error and you are sure that your credentials are valid I would contact the financial institution for support.

The Vanguard site seems to be ok whereas the table within KMyMoney needs to be updated I think.
Neither of the entries for Vanguard work yet when I enter the parameters manually I can connect and update the accounts. The parameters are: FID= 15103 ORG= Vanguard URL= The same as the other Vanguard entries. Ver= 102 As far as the Quicken version, I tried 2014 and it worked so I did nothing else. So, how do I request that the internal table be changed ? Best regards, |

KMyMoney obtains this information from http://www.ofxhome.com/
Which in case of Vanguard is http://www.ofxhome.com/api.php?lookup=722
I guess that the manual settings is for these exact cases in which the data at http://www.ofxhome.com/ is not updated as necessary.

You should have received an email from Vanguard since they updated the systems last week.
The login now uses the account name instead of the number. https://personal.vanguard.com/us/insigh ... ers-092014 Good luck, Stan. |

I did receive the notice Stan and it was not clear what I had to do since I neither use Quicker, nor Windows, nor a MAc. I did a Vanguard download to a format for MsMoney file and, using a text editor, took a look at the data. That is where I saw the different FID and ORG embedded in the file. I plugged those into the manual setup and they worked. When doing a setup for online updates within KMyMoney, it will ask you to synchronize based upon the account numbers which is fine with me. Maybe the Ofx and the Vanguard sites don't talk to each other as I had hoped. It wouldn't surprise me as based upon the prior rollout by Vanguard, it seems that Vanguard is not so good at rolling out new updates. Thanks for the help folks. |
