Hey all,
I've just been testing out a pile of personal finance softwares in an effort to replace Quicken (riddled with bugs and shortcomings); of all I've tried, I definitely like KMyMoney the best. However, one of my biggest uses is for tracking the large number of transactions I do on PayPal; Quicken is able to download these from PayPal directly, as with any other financial institution. From what I've seen, I'm fairly certain KMyMoney can't do this, so I guess my question is: is it possible/planned? I'd really love to dump Quicken, but manually downloading and importing CSV/QIF files for each PayPal account (I have several) would be far too cumbersome :/ Thanks in advance! |

AqBanking seems to have the option to connect to Paypal, and KMyMoney has a plugin for AqBanking, so you could use that.
You could look into that. If it works, then it would be possible to download information for all accounts with one click.

Thanks for the quick reply
![]() The link here (http://kmymoney2.sourceforge.net/plugins.html) leads to (http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/AqBanking), where the only windows download appears to be aqfinance (vs aqbanking); it's not clear to me how to get this connection running on Windows, if it's even possible - partially due to the fact that the site is in German... Can this type of connection be done on Windows, or is it Linux-only...? Thanks again! |

A Windows package (installer) that contains AqBanking is not yet available see the current installer readme. So yes, for now, KMyMoney with AqBanking is only available on Linux, and probably OSX.

...And I suppose that, in turn, means that there's still no way to download from PayPal - and thus I'm stuck with Quicken (?)

According to various posts found online Paypal can export CSV and QIF formats, both of which can be imported into the Windows version of KMyMoney without the need for AqBanking. QIF support is embedded in KMyMoney for CSV there is a plugin.

Yea, I know - I'm looking for a direct-download solution. Please see my original post:

I searched online but haven't found a way to download multiple accounts at once.
I guess you'll have to wait until AqBanking is available for Windows.

I think AqBanking's PayPal Module is unmaintained and does not work anymore. Sorry.
