On a computer running Fedora 20 KDE Spin, I had created a kmymoney file and encrypted it. Every time I opened that file on the older computer, I was asked the encryption password.
I am trying to open the same file on a different computer running Fedora 21 KDE Spin, but it just refuses to open the file giving an error that decrpytion failed. How can I open the file on the Fedora 21 KDE Spin computer?

Did you copy your encryption keys to the new computer?
Did you install the dependencies for encryption? eg. can you create a new file and encrypt it in the new computer?

No, I have not copied encrpytion keys to the new computer. Are the keys stored separately? How do I copy them? Can I keep them on a USB drive, like I keep kmymoney file? On the Fedora 21 KDE Spin computer, I can encrypt new files.

Yes they are store separately.
You could export them to the USB drive using Kleopatra.
