For anyone interested, a working configuration for getting online mutual fund quotes from the Globe & Mail is as follows. It uses the GreatWest Life subdomain to allow access to Class F funds.
Settings - Configure KMyMoney - Online Quotes - Globe & Mail Url http://www.globefund.greatwestlife.com/ ... undsymbol=%1 Symbol %1 Price Current Price: \$(.*) Daily Date As of (.*) Current Date Format %m %d %y Leave Skip HTML Stripping unchecked |

It looks like GreatWestLife has revamped their site and the URL is dead. An alternative is to setup TMX Money
URL http://web.tmxmoney.com/funds-ca-quote.php?qm_symbol=%1 Symbol %1 Price \$((?:\d*\.)\d+) Date

(.*)
Date Format %m %d %y CHECK ON Skip HTML Stripping (the HTML tags are needed to parse the date) |

Thank you for this. I'm going to keep this code in my back pocket for use in the event my existing strategy fails. I noticed the Great West Life failure a week or so ago when none of my Mutual Funds would update. When I couldn't figure out how to fix the GW link I started looking at other providers. In the end I managed to get The Globe & Mail site working. Doing so meant changing the Symbol ID of each affected fund. Everything else, code and other fund details remained the same. During trouble shooting I discovered many On-Line quote providers use a Symbol ID that differs from the ID provided by the fund holder. To find the funds Symbol ID used by the Globe & Mail I used their search engine, entered the fund name and established the Symbol ID based on URL returned (The last part of the URL contains the fund ID). Once I discovered this I simply update each fund with the revised Symbol ID then pointed the Online Tool to the Globe & Mail site. It wasn't my preferred solution but it worked so I was happy.

HI, sorry for posting to an older thread. I followed the instructions provided by mcian (and thanks for that!). but I'm receiving an error:
Fetching URL http://web.tmxmoney.com/funds-ca-quote. ... ENB.PR.P... Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Unknown protocol ''. . Unable to update price for ENB.PR.P (empty quote data) I have no idea how to resolve this? or what the error is pointing to... if anyone can assist, very appreciated. d Ok..it appears I had a space where there shouldn't have been from a copy paste...appears to be working ... thanks |

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 18.04 which includes KMY 5.0. The online quote window has changed slight but still works fine for TMX Money. A strong reminder to watch for leading or trailing spaces in entering the fields. I wasted some time puzzling out why it wasn't working when I copied a leading space in my own data.

TMX has done some irritating reformatting. The following reg exp has been working for me. Some extra spaces in the Price (add \s+), and a different position for Date.
