Hi. New to KMymoney as I lost all me Microsoft money files upon upgrade to Win 10. All I have is a >mbf backup file left and I waas wondering if its possible to import this and load all my old money stuff into Kmymoney rather than loose about 10 years of info.
Thanks |

What format is the .mbf and where did the data come from? Is it a backup you made at certain point in time?

Its a Microsoft Money backup file. I also have the .mny file just in case that's easier to do. I'm afraid I'm not a computer expert so I don't know what format the file is.

There's no direct way to do it. KMyMoney can handle .csv or quicken files.
Since you no longer have access to microsoft money, perhaps some other program can serve to import the MS Money file into it, and then exporting that as Quicken files. I hate to propose this, but Mint.com might be the solution if you don't have any other choice
