I have read a few posts on this here and elsewhere but would appreciate some clarification.

It is my understand that the 'Equity' in this application is not what one normally understands by this in a Balance Sheet context. That one can't have retained earnings nor share capital in kMyMoney. Has someone done this and if so how does it work? Thanks.
