Hi !
I've installed KMyMoney 4.7.2 on my Ubuntu 14.04 using the Ubuntu Software Centre. KMyMoney 4.7.2 installed successfully. However, it crashes on launching it. Not been inside the software as yet. Is this a known bug ? Best, A2Mail. |

Since you installed 4.7.2, can I assume you used my ppa for it?
If you could try running KMyMoney from a terminal, copying any resulting error messages would be helpful. It is likely a missing dependency.

Hi !
On running 'kmymoney' from a terminal I get "kmymoney(10245)/kdeui (KIconLoader): Error: standard icon theme "oxygen" not found!". There is then a whole slew of "kmymoney(10245)/kdeui (KIconLoader): Error: standard icon theme "oxygen" not found!" messages followed by another whole slew of "kmymoney(10245): No ksycoca4 database available!" messages. Finally, the following - kmymoney(10245)/kdecore (trader) KServiceTypeTrader::defaultOffers: KServiceTypeTrader: serviceType "Sonnet/SpellClient" not found kmymoney(10245) fileModule: Failed to load configured file module "kfilemodule" KCrash: Application 'kmymoney' crashing... KCrash: Attempting to start from kdeinit sock_file=/home/aspat/.kde/socket-Poplar/kdeinit4__0 Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory KCrash: Attempting to start directly KCrash failed to exec(), errno = 2 Unable to start Dr. Konqi Not forwarding the crash to Apport. I've tried to install KMyMoney using the Ubuntu Software Centre as well as adding the repository 'ppa:claydoh/kmymoney2-kde4' from a terminal. Both methods result in the above errors. TIA, A2Mail. |

Try installing the oxygen icon theme, and we'll see how much is fixed by that.

Hi !
I installed KMyMoney with Synaptic Package Manager, but this time round added the Oxygen theme as well and that's done the trick. Thanks claydoh ! ![]() A2Mail. ![]() |
