Hi all,
I updated to 4.7.2 and added an new standard chart of accounts (Datev SKR97). I had to split up some previous transactions for tax accounting - works well for current fiscal year (2015) But I was unable to split the transactions of the previous FY (2014). After entering the split the date was shown in red and storing refused. Changing one category works well, just splitting was refused. I tried to set the system time one year backwards - no change. I tried to set the transaction date to this FY, split the categories and stored. Changing the transaction date back to last FY was refused again. Some help would be appreciated, since I'll have to fix tax accounting before FY changes soon again. ![]() KMM 4.7.2 on Windows7 and Windows10

Solved!
One of the categories I used to split the transactions was newly created and had an opening date in FY2015 ![]() After setting opening date of the category to beginning of FY of first transaction everything works well. [bug]No message will be shown on this issue. Only transaction date is red colored.[/bug] Unfortunately the KMM 4.7.x new feature 'opening date check for categories and accounts' presents a colorful bunch of new issues to me. Sticky note: [idea=]For unexpected behavior of transactions in KMM 4.7.x check opening date of involved accounts and categories first.[/idea] Since the benefit of opening dates for categories (non-value accounts) will not come easy to my mind I won't use them in the future. Sticky note: [idea=]When creating or modifying categories manually set the opening date to before the first transaction in ledger.[/idea]
