Re-Ordering Account Names

Sun Apr 10, 2016 11:19 am
I have been using KMyMoney v4.6.4 from the Linux Mint repository. In the "Home" window my "Asset Accounts" defaulted to my current account at the top, followed by my linked savings accounts, with my ISA at the bottom of the pile.

I have recently upgraded to v4.7.2 via the PPA: the accounts order seems to have defaulted to alphabetical, which has put my current account at the bottom. I can see in Settings > Configure KMyMoney > Home how to re-order Assets and Liabilities, Payments etc - but not how to re-order accounts within that. Short of re-naming my current account, is there any way to achieve this? In case it is important, I opened a backup of my data saved in 4.6.4 rather than started again from scratch with 4.7.2.

Can anyone help please?

TIA

Did not find how to do this, but there is one simple hack: edit the account names and prepend a numbering?
    Assets
    Checking
    Savings
becomes

    1. Savings
    2. Checking
    3. Assets

Edit: the other solution is always to edit accounts from the Accounts page, which is what I do. I only use the home page for the overview.

Thanks for reply.

Numbering the account names was the work around that I had also come up with. Strange that this has happened after upgrading from a previous version - it was fine before.

Also, being new to this forum I was expecting to get an automatic email notifying me of a reply to this thread. Is it possible to set this up, (how?) ?
