Hello. One thing I believe KMyMoney really needs in this day and age is some sort of reminder functionality for scheduled transactions. On the (likely very outdated) roadmap http://kmymoney2.sourceforge.net/release-plan.html#version_list it is a planned feature, saying regarding Bill Reminders
Is this something what could be implemented in a reasonable fashion? I'm not for an applet, as outlined above, but I could see (3) scenarios that I think would be relatively easy to implement:
* Use KAlarm. This would be super easy - Just require KAlarm as a KMyMoney dependency and use it to notify users when necessary. The only hiccup would likely be needing to have KAlarm running all the time and on start-up * Using email - Either KMail or a built-in IMAP function in KMyMoney |

KMyMoney does have a plugin that writes this kind of information into an ics file which can be imported into KOrganizer. Please check Settings/Configure KMyMoney/Plugins/iCalendar.
