The following was posted back in May. I'm still looking for a solution.

I've just moved my data file from the local Windows 10 PC to a QNAP NAS. Now the file cannot be opened. An error results. Details of the error indicate "The process for the smb://winter protocol died unexpectedly".

I'm running KMyMoney version 4.7.2 on a Windows 10 PC. The NAS uses Samba 3 for file sharing. Why is this error occurring.

A search of the archives indicates people have experienced similar problems. Any fix found relates to a Linux desktop. I'm running Windows so they don't seem to apply.
