Hi. I was using KMyMoney on Kubuntu 14.04 for a while now. Recently my system stopped working. When I run KMyMoney from Konsole, I get the following:
Not sure what update caused the system to stop working. The library looks specific to KMyMoney, so I did not go try and find a package beyond a Google search, which came up empty. Version is 4.7.9 Daily from Clay Weber's KMYMoney Daily PPA https://launchpad.net/~claydoh/+archive/ubuntu/kmymoney-daily?field.series_filter=trusty. Thanks in advance for any guidance. |

That's the reason why I had to go back to KMM 4.6.4. See my post of March 25. I am still in the dark as to how to solve this.

I read your post. Glad I'm not alone here. Hopefully, a fix will come soon! |

So what is the actual version of Kmm that you are running? I am suspecting an old version from my more or less dead daily build ppa. make sure you have 4.7.2 and not something like 4.7.9x installed.
If you do, remove all kmm packages, remove the non-stable ppa, reload your package list and reinstall from the official repos or the stable ppa.

I got 4.7.9 by using the PPA ppa:claydoh/kmymoney2-kde4, and, yes, that's how I got the issue with the missing library. To install 4.7.2, is there another way than to build it from the source?

No, there is no "4.7.9" in my stable ppa. There is no release of KMyMoney with that number. There is was an unstable package, pulled from git way back in 31 October 2015, that had the version 4.7.90+20151031 and was found in the kmymoney-daily and never was placed in the stable release PPA. The error message you see is specific to this unstable package. The command
will show information about the various versions of KMyMoney and where they come from on your system. It will look similar to this:

That did the trick for me. All set. Thanks.
