Hi
1. A while back [4.7.1] i queried how to turn off the Outbox tab viewtopic.php?f=69&t=123505&p=326478&hilit=outbox#p326467 . The method that worked back then was to deselect the KBanking plugin & restart KMM. In 4.8.0 this Outbox tab has reappeared, but this time i cannot turn it off by deselecting the KBanking plugin & restarting. Is this a bug, or is there a different way now to get rid of it pls? 2. The following behaviour has been present for years, way before 4.8.0, but i was too lazy to ask about it before. (i) In Forecast, Summary tab, i have two Asset accounts & two Liability accounts. My assumption* wrt KMM colour coding here would be generally that black font would imply positive balances, & red font negative balances. Hence i'd expect my two Asset accounts to display across the rows in black font, except/unless there were any days they became negative [in which case only those specific days should be red]. Conversely for the two Liability accounts i'd expect to display across the rows in red** font, except/unless there were any days they became positive [in which case only those specific days should be black]. (ii) In reality however, my second Asset account always displays in red font in Forecast - Summary [both its name, & every entry along the row], despite this account always having an obviously larger positive balance than the other Asset account [which is always black]. Surely this behaviour is not correct? (iii) Pls note that the Detail & Advanced tabs do NOT also do this; in them, this account correctly displays in black font. Hence i ask; is this a bug, or am i misunderstanding the intended interpretation of red vs black? * No longer just an assumption; i found the Colours section in Settings, & temporarily changed "Negative value" from Red to Purple. As i expected, in Forecast - Summary both Liability accounts became purple, but sadly my second Asset account also became purple... despite its balances being unequivocally positive. ** Oddly, one of my Liability accounts -- its name only, not also its values -- displays in black font in this tab. |

First of: sorry for the delay. I don't visit the forum very often (more an old-school email driven guy) and the notification somehow stopped working for me.
Regarding disabling the outbox in the view selector: it could be, that the permanent display you encounter was caused by a new feature introduced with 4.8.0 which allows you to directly transfer money from within KMyMoney. Maybe, it does not check for any method being available before it displays the icon. Please feel free to open a bug using our bug tracker. Regarding the coloring question, I am not in a position to answer, since I don't know the logic behind the calculations. Maybe someone else can chime in.

My Manjaro KDE Stable was updated tonight & so i now have 5.0.1 [albeit incorrect splashscreen still says 5.0.0] & the Plug-in bug is cured [ie, i now can once more hide the unwanted Outbox tab]. Many thanks.

How do you hide the Outbox tab? |

If i reply, will you mock my
again? ![]() Anyway, to your question. There's not an explicit setting for this afaik, but i was able to hide that tab / icon [after relaunching KMM] by ensuring both the following indicated selections are disabled: https://s31.postimg.cc/i0b84jru3/20180415_001.png |
