I upgraded from KMyMoney 4.7.2 to 4.8.0 and have lost the ability to import a CSV file containing transactions into a credit card account. No liability accounts appear in the list of accounts to import into. I have rolled back to 4.7.2 because of this problem.

Can you confirm that this is a problem with 4.8.0 and that it will be fixed?

Thanks and regards,

Tony

I'm having the same issue under 4.8.0.
I created a CSV import filter. I go to import my Credit Card data. My only choice is to import it as an Asset account, not a Liability account.

Is this an issue with 4.8.0, or a problem in how I have my CSV file set up? For kicks I tried importing my credit card data as a checking account. That worked. But I don't seem to be able to import it as a Liability account.

Should I roll back to 4.7.2? Or roll forward to the daily builds?

I'm having the same issue. The csv import automatically selects checking accounts only. Until I installed 4.8.0 I was able to import cash and credit accounts from my mobile expenses app as well as Bank(checking) accounts.

There is a bug report for this at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364425. It appears that the fix will be in the 4.8.1 release.

I'm not sure what this forum is for; after not receiving any reply to my original post, I found the KDE bug report web site and saw that the problem had already been reported.

Do the developers read this forum?

Some do. They also reply regularly. Since every developer has his specialty, I suspect they are not easily going to reply to a question that is not in their domain for fear of giving the wrong answer. You did the right thing checking the bug list.
