I've been testing out free trials of alternatives to Quicken as they are moving to a subscription model. I am looking for good investment reporting.
I've just recently purchased Moneydance but after a considerable import & cleanup of multi-currency accounts, the reports were disappointingly basic. I would like to try KMyMoney, but I would appreciate some insight. 1. On the Windows 7 64-bit platform, Trend Micro has blocked the install as "Suspicious Software". Has anyone else encountered this? 2. For users who have investment accounts, could you either confirm that KMyMoney can produce a "Day Gain" report in colour (e.g. red for losses) based on portfolio holdings. Could someone post a screensnap of such a report? 3. Can KMyMoney show investment reports in the currency of an account (as opposed to the base currency of the program)? In Moneydance, their investment report extension seems to be converting everything to the data file's base currency. 4. Does KMyMoney allow you to collapse/expand rows in reports to allow for more/less detail like in Quicken? Any screenshots of the variety of investment reports would be greatly appreciated. Data can be redacted. I'm mainly interested in the report format and features. Thank you! |
