Best way to use current build?

Tue Jun 20, 2017 2:57 am
Hi all,

Long time user, though I haven't posted in quite a while. I've had problems with downloading my Chase Visa information ever since Chase decided to 'tighten security' toward the end of 2015; I know what the issue is, and I believe it's been worked around in the testing build of KMyMoney. I'm on Windows, and am using the most up to date release version (4.8.0), but it still doesn't work with OFX direct download for Chase specifically. I've tried in the past to get a Debian git compile to work, but I remember being in dependency hell for hours before giving up.

Anyway, my question is: what's the best way to get the fixed version of KMyMoney that works with Chase Bank? My order of preference would probably be:
1) Straight binary for Windows from a testing repository
2) Instructions on how to build on Windows, hopefully with some way to ask questions if/when I run into issues
3) Instructions on how to build on a Linux install. I've set up distros in a VM in the past, but I'd use whichever one is easy to set up a KMyMoney compile on, since that's all I would use it for.

Any ideas?

Oh, and thanks all for a great program, I've been using it for many years!
