I have a IRA account setup in Kmymoney and it is linked to my Fidelity account. Everything is working great.

If I go to Investments then click update, my account is updated automatically with recent transaction from Fidelity. It looks like it is only pulling the last 45 days worth of information.

Is there a way to adjust the length of time update pulls from an online institution when automatically updating an account?

Looking at my ledger, I'm missing from 4/11/17 until 5/30/17. When I click update it seems to only pull data for the last ~45 days.

How can I adjust the time frame of the data that account update pulls?

Which interface are you using? OFX? Is it the KMyMoney or the AqBanking version?

I am using the KMyMoney version. It is an OFX direct import.

Depending on the version of KMyMoney you have at hand, you should be able to control the start date of import in the Account/Edit.../Online Settings/Import details dialog.
