I have been moving transactions from QUicken Cash Manager 2017 to KMM using QIF. Mostly things have moved nicely, however, the import exposed a number of mangled transactions on the Quicken side -- now present in KMM as transfers instead of charges.
There should have been an expense catagory for these transactions -- instead, Quicken seems to have put in a bogus account, so the entry is seen as a transfer to a non-existant account. What is the correct way to fix this? Since I am just moving data, should I scrap the database and make a new one, correct the transactions on the QUicken side and start over? Or is there a way within KMM to change the sense of these transactions from 'transfers' to expense catagories? Thanks, greg latiak |

Yes, there is. Simply edit the transaction and instead of the account select a category. Voila, that will change them from a transfer to a deposit/withdraw. In case you have more than one and want to assign the same category you can do that by selecting all of them and edit them in one go.
Hope that helps.
