How to merge 2 accounts or move transactions from one account to another.
This is my first day with KMyMoney, so far its awesome. I imported several accounts from Quicken QIF exports. Most are OK, but KMM splits one exported Savings account into two separate accounts - a new Savings account plus a new Checking account. I deleted all transactions from both accounts, and deleted the two accounts. Then I re-imported the original QIF. Re-importing the Savings account again splits it into both a Savings AND a Checking account, weird! If I could move the transactions from one account to the other, that might work? 1. IS is possible to merge these 2 accounts into a single account? 2. IS is possible to bulk move or copy approximately 100+ transactions from one account to another account? Thank you! ![]() |

I wonder, why it should do that. Are these transactions by any chance transfers between the savings and the checkings account? Here's how we can find out:
In case the above does not hold true, we need to investigate your problem a little further. BTW: This should also answer your questions.

YES - that worked perfectly!
![]() There were some transfers in the transactions. Also, this came from a Quicken QIF with all items selected during the Export from Quicken. ![]() ![]() |
