Firstly, big fan of the software. I would like to know whether developers are currently working on tags feature where tags can be allocated to each line item within a transaction? Currently tags can be allocated on a really high level. Has anyone found workflow around it? Now you can have unlimited categories within a transaction but unlimited tags within a transaction is not a possibility. Please advise.

Thanks for your question. The current versions (the KDE4 based 4.8 branch as well as KF5 based master branch) support tagging only for so called single-split-transactions. In fact, those transactions are made out of two splits, mostly one for the account and the other for the category. So called split transactions (the ones that have more than those two splits) currently do not support tagging due to the lack of the split editor to assign tags. The database layer is designed to support tags on a split level, so we are prepared.
The KF5 based master branch already has a new ledger view and accompanying transaction and split editor available (which is in beta state to some extent). It has UI support to allow tagging on the split level as well, but I don't know out of the top of my head if the logic is present to pass that information on into the database layer (yet). The advise at this point would be: please wait some more time until the feature is finished and released. We're working on it.

Hello there,
First of all, let me congratulate team on new version which has been released few days ago. Just wondering if new version actually has accommodated the feature tags at split transactions mode I have previously requested (refer to my previous message)? Please advise. Cheers Abs
