I had originally created a category in the income section as Income:subcategories, I realized I didn't need to do it that way and my reports would look better just making the sub-categories a category. I did a really dumb thing. I changed the category "income" hierarchy to the top Income and lost my subcategories. They show in reports but not in the category list. How can I fix this? It should show a > next to the category, indicating there are subcategories hidden or a downward arrow showing those subcategories. I don't see an undo option. Help Please. Thanks in advance.

The good news: if they show up in reports, they are still present.
Which version of KMyMoney are you using under which operating system? Can you follow the procedures described in the manual and send the resulting anonymized file to kmymoney-devel@kde.org for further investigation?

Thanks for the reply, ipwizard. I have version 4.12.5 functioning through Windows Vista. (I know... Yuk!) I have mailed the anon file as instructed. There should be another catagory under income with a > and I believe 5 subcatagories under it.

4.12.5 seems to be the KDE version, we would love to have the KMyMoney version. I will take a look at the anon file later.
