Been using KMyMoney for years. Cleared column previously WAS populated with lots of "R"s. Today entire column blank.
While reconciling a statement today the "C"s entered properly and the account reconciled properly. But when done that column returned to being blank. Is this a change or does something else need to be reset?

Some version information would be interesting at this point and the absolute minimum to start about thinking what might cause this.

Turns out I discovered the root cause later in the day. I had selected the filter option of hiding reconciled transactions. Figured that would then display only those transactions that hadn't yet been reconciled. Instead I learned filtering only meant blanking out the contents of the entire column.
Would have been more logical if the View option were "Hide reconciled column". Or as mentioned above if hiding reconciled transactions meant just that, hiding only the reconciled transactions. That would greatly assist in finding the transaction from months ago that finally cleared. |

Now I a am really confused. Let's get this straight. There are indeed several switches and tweaks one can use.
Using 2. you can select a display filter for the ledger to quickly find and identify certain transactions. If I get your case correct, you would have used Not marked to find a transaction which is missing a Cleared or an Reconciled mark. Under no circumstances I know of a function that blanks the contents of a column but still shows all the others, esp. the reconciliation mark column. If it does, this is not intended and we call it a bug.

More correctly I confused myself. Too many years of using Kmymoney without glancing at the manual. Features added, deleted or changed that I didn't notice because I hadn't really looked. Thanks for politely reminding myself to take another look. Turns out that filter selection option was hiding in plain sight all the time.

So we can mark this one as cleared, I guess.
