Hi,
I cannot recall how to close an account ( so I can then hide it from my active accounts list) I have closed accounts before but now cannot find how to do it (!) Thanks, Tony Currently on 4.14.16 |

Make sure the balance of the account is zero. Then select the account to be closed in the accounts view and select "Close account" from the context menu.
Hope that helps. BTW: 4.14.16 is the KDE version, not the KMyMoney version.

Apologies but I have this "problem" again where I cannot close an account as the Account - Close Account is grey-ed out.
This time, the account in question is an Investment account.... If I look at the account balance it is showing £0.00 and 0 shares....perhaps there is an orphan part-share which is preventing closure? Is there a more detailed view which could show me? Thanks, Tony KMyMoney - Version 4.6.6 - Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.16 |

You have to go to the tab Investment and delete any investments associated with the account then you can close the account. As in making sure there are no shares or fraction left that is preventing you from closing the account. Then close the investment account. After you close the investment account you can then close the brokerage account.
