I'm testing KMyMoney and I have two questions:
- how to enter the stock price history what is needed to track the capital growth (CSV import does'nt work) - the accuracy of the price of securities can be adjusted, but the accuracy on their number seems to remain at 2 digits only which is not enough, how can I do? Many thanks V 4.8.1.1 / windows 10 |

In case I understand your question, you can control that using the fraction of a security. You might want to check the manual section for the relevant dialog.
Hope that helps.

My first question was about to enter historical values of a security from purchase date to today, so how to enter few tens of values date/price for a given security ?
The second question was about the precision of the fraction of a security, 2 digits is not enough, 4 digits would be a minimum ? |

You can certainly enter them manually using Tools/Price/New. I am not sure if any of the importers can be of help. Depending on the version of KMyMoney your mileage may vary. KMyMoney 5.0 now seems to bring the capability to bulk load stock prices via the CSV importer. I have never used it though.
Well, the fraction and the precision are used for the same thing here. A fraction of 1/100 gives you 2 digits of precision whereas a fraction of 1/10000 gives you 4 digits.

>> you are right it's possible but as i have a lot of security and a long history to enter it's a hard work, entering values from a .csv file would be better, as i am a windows user, do you know a windows package for KMyMoney 5 ? A fraction of 1/100 gives you 2 digits of precision whereas a fraction of 1/10000 gives you 4 digits. >> YES ! it works fine, what a donkey i am ![]() Many thanks ! |

Regarding the MS-Windows version I can only report that there is a developer working on it. It seems to be a bit harder and not yet in a releasable state. For the brave among you, you can check the KDE CI builds for latest build results. The CI system is currently in maintenance mode. The Qt version for the Windows builds on the CI system was recently switch from Qt5.9 to Qt5.10. The last builds made for 5.9 all showed red
