I am currently running Ubuntu 16.04 and using KyMoney 4.8.0 based on the KDE Development Platform 4.14.22. Based on the posts so far, it appears that some dependencies have to to be installed and/or upgraded before actually installing KMyMoney 5.02. I would like to know before attempting the upgrade to KMyMoney 5.02.
A side question, would any of upgrades have a negative effect on the current installation of KyMoney 4.8.0, in the event I never make it to KMyMoney 5.02.? This post lists some of the necessary dependencies: kmymoney v5 install. However, the download site for some of these dependencies was not identified. 1. LibAlkimia5 version 7.0 was successfully downloaded. 2. kdiagram (Kchart) packages need to installed, but download location not identified in the post. 3. clang 3.8.0 ![]() 4. Gpgmepp library ?? The response was: "You probably also need to install the accompanying -dev package for that library. " What other dependencies may have to be installed and/or upgraded? Can this be accomplished by simply upgrading the KDE Development Platform 4.14.22 to the current version? |

Since posting, I have waited for the release of the upgrade capability of Ubuntu 16.04 to Ubuntu 18.04. Well, it arrived and I attempted to upgrade my old non-production desktop PC. The upgrade failed. Anyway, I took this "opportunity" to test-out Lubuntu 18.04 through a full clean install. I see that the new version of KMyMoney is available from the software center. I successfully loaded it and it works. The next step will be to attempt to upgrade my production computer to Ubuntu 18.04
