I have recently upgraded my computer from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04.1 . KMyMoney appeared to be working ok until I needed to add a new investment. All the fields for "Buy Shares" are filled in and the value correctly computed from the number of shares and price but the only option for action is "Cancel" . "Enter" and "Accept" remain greyed out.
I opened a new file and tried again but got the same result. The KMyMoney version is given as 5.00 from "Help" and 5.0.1-2 from the Ubuntu download. Could it be that I have to do a clean install of Ubuntu 18.04 instead of the upgrade process? Nothing else has been a problem since the upgrade. |

I recently answered a very similar questions on the user mailing list as follows:
Hope that helps you as well.

Thank you - I did as you suggested but the entry of the new investment remains stalled with "Cancel" as the only action.
Incidentally the download of the nightly build was very unstable and bombed out in Google Chrome twice. I then used "wget -c https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyM ... 4.appimage" : it came in chunks with many restarts but the final count was correct and the program read my data ok. |
