Hello. I have two questions. Has anyone been able to get KMyMoney 4.8.3 to map to an online account at Bank of America? I have successfully connected to several credit unions and brokerage accounts, but not BofA.
The other question is in the same line...Since I can't get KMM to connect to BofA, I download with web express and noticed that BofA no longer supports the quicken 2016 format, it's now Quicken 2017. Is KMM compatible with this change on BofA? Thanks in advance Sandy. |

I've been using KMM with OFX direct connect to Bank of America for a long time, although I can't for certain remember if I started with 4.8 or with 5.0.
I'm still identifying as Quicken Windows 2016 with no problems, although newer versions of KMM have newer versions of Quicken on the list, when you map the account. You could always use the Quicken Expert setting. Quicken 2017 would use QWIN:2600, 2018 uses QWIN:2700, and 2019 uses QWIN:2800. (I don't remember when that "Expert" setting was added, so you may not have it in 4.8.3. If that's the case, you would probably need to update. However - if you are just talking about whether KMM will import an OFX (or QFX) file from a later version of Quicken, the answer is yes. The other possible issue with mapping the account is that BOA requires use of a Client UID. The first time you try to map the account using that identifier, you will get an error, after which you log in to the BOA web site and confirm that you to enable the access. Then you can successfully repeat the mapping. The ClientUID is a random 32 digit hex string. I had thought that KMM had one you could use, but I can't currently find it in my kmy file. Again, I can't remember if 4.8.3 (and the associated libofx) had the ClientUID code, or if it was added later. |
