Hi, I have a problem with the encryption, on kmymoney 4.8.3. with windows 10. I have installed kmymoney and after also gpg4win, I imported the encrypted key with kleopatra but the flag in kmymoney does not activate. i am not familiar with gpg4win so cannot answer your question directly.

As an alternative, I use VeraCrypt ( in both Mint 19 and also W10) to encrypt my data files. Veracrypt provides a hidden encrypted folder where you can store any sensitive files.
