Hello,

first time KMyMoney user here.

I need to import bank statements via the CSV import, as well as the automatic HBCI/FinTs update and run into problems.

Here are three variants I tried. The fist two with the expected behavior, the last one with the my actual problem.

Variant 1 / As expected:
- Setup two asset accounts
- Run import via: File - Import - AqBanking Importer
- During the import process I can select the destination account

Variant 2 / As expected:
- Setup two asset accounts
- Map both asset accounts to the accounts that are automatically retrieved via aqBanking/FinTs
- Run import via: File - Import - AqBanking Importer
- During the import process I an select the destination account

Variant 3 / Problem case:
- Setup two asset accounts
- Map both asset accounts to the accounts that are automatically retrieved via aqBanking/FinTs
- Run an automatic update / initial import on account 1 via FinTs, which works great
- Run import via: File - Import - AqBanking Importer
- Problem: No selection box for the destination account appears

It seems that AqBanking "remembers" the previous import/update location and uses it again.

Is there any way around this, so I can select the appropriate destination?

Best,

Jens

I might not understand the problem in full detail (sorry for that). The one thing that makes me wonder is why do you map (you used the term link) an online account and then use the File/Import function to retrieve the data? Or do you have a third account?

I am using the FinTS on like 5 or 6 accounts (various institutions) which are mapped and CSV import for one other (which is not mapped). But I never used the AqBanking importer for the CSV import. I use KMyMoney's own CSV importer. Did you try that one? Does it make a difference? Oh, and the first question here as last: which version of KMyMoney are you using?

I corrected the terminology to map.

Its not possible to get statements from this account via FinTS. I am using DKB with two accounts: checking and credit card. Both accounts are reported via FinTS but the credit card account does not provide the statements. The problem is described here:
https://www.linuxwiki.de/OpenHBCI/GetesteteBanken/DKB

The result is the same, when I only map one account. I actually mapped the two accounts, in the hope the importer will let me choose the right one.

Cheers,

Jens

Thanks for the clarification. Looks like the AqBanking importer indeed has a little problem as soon as an online mapped account exists. As I already suggested, use the KMyMoney CSV Importer which does not have this problem. No word on the version you have/use, so I like to direct you to the AppImage version (build on a daily basis straight from our git stable branch) in case yours has problems with CSV. The latest patches to the CSV importer was added about a month ago. In the meantime I opened a bug entry. You may wish to monitor it to get information about its progress. Hope that helps.

Piggybacking on this thread: Is there any chance of VISA statements working with DKB and FinTS in the future? I don't understand the source of the problem - is it with AqBanking?

This is more of a question to be asked on the AqBanking Mailinglist at aqbanking-user@lists.aquamaniac.de. If you want, you can write in German to this address because most of the messages there are handled in German.
