I tried to add new stock on my investments and following error message appeared.

"Stock account must have investment account as parent C:\_\be855f17\kmymoney\kmymoney\mymoney\mymoneyfile.cpp:998"

I selected equity: right clicked it and selected "new investment..." -> new investment wizard pops up. -> type of investment Stock -> next

nevermind, it was user error. I forgot to change Select Account, only highlighted it on list.
