KMyMoney 5.0 is working fine on linux except that when I try to import a qif file, i cannot because the list of accounts in the dropdown is locked, and so i am forced to abort import as no account can be selected. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this issue? Thank you

Version 5.0 is a good start. The real version consists out of three parts, where the last part is also of importance. So is it e.g. 5.0.0 or 5.0.5? This may make a huge difference as the current is 5.0.6 and a couple of things have been fixed since 5.0.0 (see release notes for details). You can determine the version by looking at the "Help/About KMyMoney" dialog. The version is shown next to the icon at the top.
