I have an issue with KMyMoney not responding and crashing. I have re-installed 4.8.4 several times. I also tried 4.8.3. Generally happens when I am in a ledger view although it will also happen when updating categories or payees. It has become near useless. I am currently on Windows 10 Pro Build 1903 18362.388 but it happened with previous upgrades of Windows 10. I will be entering transactions in the ledger and it will crash. I try to step through the back trace but it tells me the back trace is unusable and cannot report the problem. KMyMoney is the only application that the (Not Responding) occurs with. It doesn't matter if I reboot and run KMyMoney as the only active application. Any ideas?

I'm running version 5.0.6 on Windows 10 without issue. Have you tried running this, or one of the later versions? Robert |

To be honest, I hadn't noticed that any version 5 product was available for Windows. I was looking at the upper right corner of the screen that showed 4.8.4 was available for Windows; I didn't take the time to read the release notes. I've downloaded 5.0.6 and installed it. So far so good. I will run it for a few days before declaring victory. Thanks for the suggestion.

I too was unaware that version 5 had been released for windows. I downloaded yesterday and performed an initial QIF import of 9000+ transactions. It seems there is no longer a progress bar in version 5.0.6 during the import. Was the removal intentional?
Not a big fan of progress bars since they provide no context, but having the program communicate to the user every 100 transactions is informational and lets the user know the program has not moved into that "Not responding" zone.
Regards.
