Moving from Quicken

Sat Oct 12, 2019 5:34 pm
I am looking to move from Quicken and like the look and feel of KMyMoney compared to others that I have looked at.

When doing a QIF import of my accounts, I have had to clean up a couple of accounts to ensure the balances match, which basically involved deleting a few duplicate postings. But, for my main bank account, the current balance in KMyMoney is about double that of what it should be, which would be great if that were the true, but unfortunately it is not and I have not found any duplicate postings.

Is there a way to resolve this without loosing my account history?

Does that also happen when you only import your main account itself? How do you process the import? Account by account or in one go? Did you check the opening balance of the account? Is it correct? I know, many questions but they might give you some hints what to look for or us to see which parts of the application are involved.
