Hi,
i am having trouble exporting a custom report to a csv file. When I open this file (either in Libre-Calc or a text file), the first column ( account name) is a hyperlink with HTML code. If I export the file as HTML, it looks the same. The problem seems to be that HTML format is being used for the export despite choosing CSV? Thanks, Tony KMM Version 5.0.0 Desktop: MATE 1.22.0 Distro: Linux Mint 19.2 Tina |

First thing you can try is to update (we're currently at 5.0.7). Since you're on a Linux system you can try to use an AppImage to do that in case your distro does not provide a current version.

Thank you for the super-fast response.
I have updated to 5.07 as suggested but the problem remains in this version. Regards, Tony |

Ok, I just picked a report and exported it to CSV and don't see this problem. What report are you using? Seems to be important. And may describe in as much detail you can how you create the report.

Hi,
i successfully created a new report , exported as CSV then imported into LibreOffice-CAlc. ( although interestingly, opening the CSV file in a text editor shows that it contains HTML code) Running my report, I still get hyperlinks in column A. I re-created the report from scratch and it then works OK. So my problem has a "work-around"/solution If this issue merits further investigation:- both the faulty and the working report were created from <<2- Net Worth>> although I must have used a different base report for each as the Configure-Criteria tab looks different. Faulty - General,Text, Account,Date,Amount,Category,Tag,Payee,Details Working:- General,R&C,Chart,Range, text,Account,Amount,Category,Tag,Payee,Details Hope this helps, Thanks, Tony |
