Cannot one just update stock or fund prices manually within KMM manually from the edit menu?

I've read all of the posts regarding the inability to update prices via yahoo or google which never seem to work.

Why cannot one just update within KMM with an update of the stock or mutual fund?

I need this as well. I only have 2 stocks in the portfolio so manual is better for me.

Very easy. I go to the investment tab and select the security, then I go to the menu and select enter prices. You can enter a price and then it prompts you for the date. You can make it even easier by customizing the menu bar to add: enter prices.

Another option is to go to the Investment tab, select Equities then the account you want to manually update the price(s). From there right click the stock you want to update and the pull-down has the ability to select "Manual price update".
