Hi all,
I would like to try and test the latest AppImage version of KMyMoney. I can run it OK but seem to have lost my settings (base currency, etc...). I assume these might be in the .aqbanking folder. Is this right ? If so, how do I link the AppImage version to them ? Thanks in advance Steven |

The setting of the base currency is stored inside your *.kmy data file and should not vanish. It is completely unrelated to AqBanking. Which version of KMyMoney did you use before trying the AppImage and how did you get it? I just tried KMyMoney-5.0.7-3227834-x86_64.AppImage which is the result of build # 323 and it works like a charm.

My mistake, I have tried again with https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyMoney_Stable_Appimage_Build/336/artifact/KMyMoney-5.0.7-403d308-x86_64.AppImage and things seem to work fairly well.
One small point though: online price update does not work

This sounds much like a packaging issue. Need to take a look into it. Thanks for reporting.

Hello all, completely new to Linux here, I've encountered this same error described above, immediately after installing the latest stable package of KMyMoney from AppImage, when attempting to setup "OFX Direct Connect" for "Map Account" from the selected account in Accounts view, for the purpose of importing/recording bank account transactions. KMyMoney stalls with an error message, ............can not find kioslave..........., at the outset of attempt to populate a picklist (empty list showing) of participating banks. This is my second attempt, having just removed GNUcash for the repeatedly vanishing a bit later in the same process, apparently unable to resolve something encounterred by AqBanking, some say to do with security protocol changes, differences among banks, and Quicken not playing so nice. I am wondering if my plan to escape microsoft might be thwarted after all...... Any chance this can be resolved by a repack of KMyMoney? Would sincerely be appreciated! Thanks, Chuck |

Please take a look at my post: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=165615#p431368
I installed, through Synaptic Program Manager, the KIO package to solve the inability to download stock quotes. Evidently, the Appimage version of KMyMoney does not correctly reference the "internal" version of KIO that should exist. Installing an "external" version of KIO resolved the problem. I'm using Linux Mint 19, but your OS is unstated. So it would be unknown if the"fix" cited would work for you. The Appimage of KMyMoney, still needs some work. |
