In an earlier version of KMyMoney I was able to retrieve UK stocks from Yahoo.

In KMyMoney v5 I've set up an online quote source as follows -

URL: https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/finance/quote?fields=regularMarketPrice&symbols=%1

Identify by: Symbol

Price: "regularMarketPrice":((\d+|\d{1,3}(?:[,]\d{3})).\d+)

Date: "regularMarketTime":([\d]+)

Date Format: %m %d %y

- and Skip HTML stripping is checked.

If I paste the URL into a web browser with a stock symbol e.g. https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/finance/quote?fields=regularMarketPrice&symbols=NG.L the stock price for NG.L is correctly retrieved - but when I try to do an online update of the stock price in KMyMoney I get a status message of "Fetching URL https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/finance/quote?fields=regularMarketPrice&symbols=NG.L... and then the update just hangs indefinitely until I cancel it. Please can anyone help with this?

Which version of KMyMoney are you using? I just tried 5.0.8 (released today) and it shows:

Fetching URL https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/fin ... ols=NG.L...
Price found: '987.4' (987.4)
Price for NG.L updated (id E000002)

This is on a Linux based system.

Thanks for replying. My version is 5.0.6 - for Windows. Scratching my head as to what to try to fix it ...

Can you check the release notes for 5.0.7 and 5.0.8 if they contain entries that might be related? I am not a windows user/expert, though.

I'm experiencing the same issue where the update hangs indefinitely.

Running KMyMoney v5.0.6 under Windows 7.

These settings work fine under v4.8.4, correctly returning and populating the Price and Date fields.

Any pointers or tests I can do to help pinpoint the problem would be gratefully received.



Edit. Sorry I was wrong I'm running v5.0.6 of KMyMoney not v5.0.8 as I originally posted.

A quick further update.

I've downloaded and installed the current nightly build version, v 5.0.8-74a1b7f84 and it's obtaining and updating quote prices Ok.

It looks like the issue has been resolved somewhere after v5.0.6.
