I have uninstalled this app three times and tried xml, and the database saving options. It always comes back to this exact error when I try to save:
Unable to open file 'C:/Program Files/kmymoney5/abc.kmy' for writing. /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/kmymoney-5.0.6/kmymoney/plugins/xml/xmlstorage.cpp:512

Has anyone ran into this problem and/or found a work around?

It looks like you're trying to save your data file (abc.kmy) in your Program Files folder, which you shouldn't do. The Windows system permissions prevent this to protect the system. Change the location where you're saving your data file to a folder in your own user Documents folder (as you'll have the necessary system permissions) and try again.

So simple. I just let it accept the default place to save the file while installing it. I never gave it a second thought. Thank you, lesturner.
