Using a recent download of KMyMoney, the QIF export function doesn't work. We have several years of data. The backup function works so I was able to try this on two computers. There are two anomalies. First anomaly: the drop down box for QIF profile is blank with no "Default" or anything else to select. Second, if I attempt to type into the file name box, it takes one keystroke and then appends .qif to it. And so on with each keystroke getting its own .qif. Plus, the Export button is grayed out.
Am I doing something wrong? Thanks! |

Hmm, whatever you consider as recent, I found the following in the source code repository:
Meanwhile, we already released up to 5.0.8. Looks like you use an earlier version which would explain the odd behavior of the keyboard. In case your distro does not provide a newer version containing the above mentioned fix, you may try to run an up-to-date version via the AppImage version of KMyMoney. The empty profile selection is easy to fix. You can simply add one by going to Settings/Configure KMyMoney, select the Plugins view on the left and search the QIF Exporter. Press the left button of the two buttons to configure it. That should provide you with the dialog to maintain QIF profiles as described in the manual. Hope that helps.

Many thanks! Once I was able to establish the profile, the rest worked fine.
