Hi-

I have Kmymoney 4.8.3 installed on a Windows 10 desktop, and cannot update stock prices. I get the following error message:

Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Unknown protocol

I am using Yahoo for my online quotes.

URL: https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/fin ... e&symbols=%1
Symbol=%1
Price: "regularMarketPrice":((\d+|\d{1,3}(?:[,]\d{3})).\d+)
Date: "regularMarketTime":([\d]+)
Date Format: blank
Check "Skip HTML Stripping"

I have the exact same setup on my Windows 10 laptop, and the stock updates seem to be working there.

Any ideas on what might be wrong on my desktop? Thanks much.

I had a similar problem with 4.8.x on my Windows 10 laptop. Updating to 5.x.x resolved the issue. The latest version may be downloaded from https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyMoney_Release_win64/

Thanks, rblackwell, for taking the time to respond. Your solution worked! I installed Version 5.0.8-8024818f8

Do you by any chance know how to activate online banking in this version? Do I need to add the OFX Importer Plugin? If so, I looked on the download page you sent me and can't find the OFX Importer Plugin anywhere? Thanks again for your help.

Looking at the log of today's build I find
07:38:44 -- Checking for module 'sqlcipher'
07:38:44 -- Found sqlcipher, version 3.4.2-6
07:38:45 -- Checking for module 'libofx'
07:38:45 -- No package 'libofx' found

which would explain why it is not contained in the installer package. The feature summary of the build also states that:

07:38:52 -- The following features have been enabled:
07:38:52 * Address book, It allows fetching payee information from KDE PIM system.
07:38:52 * Holidays, It allows fetching holidays from KDE PIM system.
07:38:52 * Forecast view, It adds possibility to calculate forecasts.
07:38:52 * Reports view, It adds possibility to display chart and table reports.
07:38:52 * Budget view, It adds possibility to plan a budget.
07:38:52 * Online job outbox view, It adds outbox for sending online jobs.
07:38:52 * SQL Storage, It allows storing your financial data in SQL database.

07:38:52 * GNC Importer, It allows importing GNUCash files.
07:38:52 * CSV Importer, It allows importing CSV files.
07:38:52 * CSV Exporter, It allows exporting CSV files.
07:38:52
07:38:52 -- The following features have been disabled:
07:38:52 * Encryption, It allows encrypting your financial data.
07:38:52 * Doxygen, Generate API documentation with Doxygen (for devs only).
07:38:52 * IBAN/BIC data, Adds predefined IBAN/BIC numbers to KMyMoney (note: doesn't work yet).
07:38:52 * OFX Importer, It allows importing OFX files (have client uid version: unknown)
07:38:52 * KBanking, Interface for the following online banking protocols: HBCI, EBICS, OFX Direct Connect, Paypal
07:38:52 * Weboob, Online banking interface using Weboob.
07:38:52 * Model test, Generate modeltest code (for devs only).
07:38:52 * QtDesigner, Qt-Designer library support (for devs only).

One would have to improve the build to include LibOFX to solve the issue. Any takers?

Thanks, ipwizard, for that helpful information.

Do you know the latest version for Windows that is available that has the OFX Importer Plugin built in the package?
