Good day,
I was not able to find any topics related to this and unsure if it is a bug or if there is a settings issue. I recently upgraded to Debian 10 and updated KMyMoney to 5.03. For my budget 2020, I make sure the balance between Income and Expense is always zero. If I have a month where I make an extra $100, then I edit the income so balance shows +$100 and then edit the appropriate expense category to have the balance at $0 again. This worked flawlessly in KMyMoney 4.8.3 (I believe was previous version I had). Currently, the Balance shows $582.22 whether I click 2019 (that was a mess should be $10k off) or 2020 under Your Budgets. I manually added and subtracted my 2020 budget and the result was zero. Interestingly when I first noticed this, the budget balance read around $483 and the changed later to $582. I wonder if it is pulling the data from the accounts? Thank for any help. |

I have just finished upgrading to version 5.0.8 and I still have the same issue. Below are two images for reference, one is an older backup file. I have tried adding $500 to expense then $5,000 to income; yet the balance stays the same on both (negative $909.36 and positive $582.22 on the other). Has anyone had any luck with the balance reading correctly in KMyMoney 5?

I added a bug report to the KDE tracker and fixed the problem.
