Totally new to KyMoney. I was using YNAB but they screwed me and I lost all my data.

I'm wondering if there is a way to somehow save my main file to dropbox so I can edit it from two different computers. In addition to my desktop at home I use a my personal laptop at work a lot and would also like to be able to enter transactions on that computer while I'm at work. Dropbox is the only way I can think to do this.

All ideas welcome

I've been using MS OneDrive with KMyMoney for some time now without problem. Google Drive was also used in past. Again, no issues. I have a laptop from which I do most entries, and a desktop that's used for the occasional update. I not a drop box user thus cannot comment on that platform although I don't see it being any different than the two I've mentioned. They're all virtual storage.

Is there a tutorial on how to do this? I can't seem to find the section in the program where to change the destination folder. I used gnucash for a few days and didn't like it but it was pretty straightforward in there.

What is missing for this in the current documentation? (More accurately, I care for the documentation, and am willing to accept suggestions for enhancements, but am more likely to act if provided a suggested wording.)

Same as simply changing where on your local disk you want to keep your data file, you can either move the file to the new location and then tell KMM to open it there, or you can open it where it currently lives, and then do a "save as" to the new location. As long as the drop box folder looks like a local directory, that should work. There have been reports in the past of problems with this approach, but only for the Windows version, and I think those issues have since been addressed.

Okay thank you. I am using it on windows 10 but I will give it a try
