I've installed KmyMoney 5.x and it was running fine then suddenly I lost my toolbar.
How do I get it back, please ? I don't have access to configure KmyMoney or configure the toolbar, how do I get them back. Thanks, Bruce |

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 beta but the situation I mention in my post happened while I was still running Ubuntu 19.10

You should still have access to the menu: Settings/Show Toolbar.

This sounds like it might be that the "global menu" got turned on accidentally. I believe most desktop environments have a setting that moves the toolbar out of the application window up to the top of the screen. There may actually be more than one way of doing it. Unfortunately, it sometimes just makes the main menu completely disappear (and so even they keyboard shortcuts don't work [Did you actually try them to be sure?])
First, you first have to be sure that setting is turned off. For KDE, that means that you do NOT have the global menu widget or other similar widget/plasmoid on any panel. I no longer remember the exact details, so you might search on "global menu ubuntu" (maybe also KDE or plasma or gnome.) I also remember a second step where I have to manually change a setting from on to off in the application's rc file, but I can't find that line right now. I'll hunt some more, but hopefully this gives you something to work with. |
