I posted this on a different thread and it wasn't answered, so I am re-posting it here.

I am unable to download mutual fund prices. I found another thread that discusses using Yahoo instead of MSN. I tried using the Yahoo-API, but could not get that to work. When I try to update a single fund, I get the progress bar. But the progress bar reaches different percentages with different funds, some stop at 3%, others at 24% or 45%. If I plug the entry directly into a browser, i.e.

https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/finance/quote?fields=regularMarketPrice&symbols=FMAGX ,

I get a response. I've checked for trailing spaces and hit Update as needed, but no luck.

Does this method work for mutual funds? In Windows?

I use Yahoo for Online Quotes. First go to Settings > Configure KMyMoney > Online Quotes and use these settings:

URL
Code: Select all
https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/finance/quote?fields=regularMarketPrice&symbols=%1

Identify by Symbol

Price
Code: Select all
"regularMarketPrice":((\d+|\d{1,3}(?:[,]\d{3})).\d+)

Date
Code: Select all
"regularMarketTime":([\d]+)

Check Skip HTML stripping

CSV URL, Identifier and date format are blank

I had a similar issue a while back. Turned out to be a trailing space in one of the entries. It may be worth checking your entries for leading or trailing spaces.

I'm following up on an earlier post. I thought the issue might have been the Windows 7 computer I was using. I have a new Win10 computer and am still having the same problem downloading quotes. I double checked the configuration, no leading or trailing spaces, etc. What I did see in the popup window is that there are three periods after the symbol.

Fetching URL https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/fin ... ls=SHGTX...

If I copy the URL exactly as shown above and paste it into a browser, I get

{"quoteResponse":{"result":[],"error":null}}

If I delete the three periods, I get something that looks like it is correct.

{"quoteResponse":{"result":[{"language":"en-US","region":"US","quoteType":"MUTUALFUND","quoteSourceName":"Delayed Quote","triggerable":false,"marketState":"REGULAR","exchange":"NAS","exchangeTimezoneName":"America/New_York","exchangeTimezoneShortName":"EDT","gmtOffSetMilliseconds":-14400000,"market":"us_market","esgPopulated":false,"sourceInterval":15,"exchangeDataDelayedBy":0,"tradeable":false,"firstTradeDateMilliseconds":717773400000,"regularMarketTime":1602504368,"regularMarketPrice":71.47,"fullExchangeName":"Nasdaq","priceHint":2,"symbol":"APGAX"}],"error":null}}

I also checked the configuration of the mutual fund and there are no stray spaces or periods in the symbol field.

What next?

Thanx
