When I reconcile my current account, I get a message afterwards saying :-

<<Outstanding payments
Date Payee Category Amount
07/04/2020 EE broadband £ -28.00>>

This arises from a scheduled transaction for the 1st of each month and, in the ledger, shows the correct date of 1st June.

Why is there a discrepancy?

Thanks,
Tony

is there a payment of that amount on the 4th which is not marked as cleared? It sounds like perhaps you have that payment set up with a schedule on the 1st of the month, and then imported the transaction from the bank, who processed it on the 4th, and you didn't match the two transactions, so one of them is cleared and one is not.

Thanks for the help.

Apologies... my original post could have been clearer!

I reconciled the account this morning... there is only 1 un-reconciled item ,,,, in the ledger, it shows as 1 June and in the overdue payment report ( at the end of the reconciliation) it shows as 7 April .

I do not import transactions from any institution.

Thanks, Tony
