New Windows Builds Fail to Install

Sun Oct 25, 2020 12:19 pm
I was delighted to see the issue with windows builds failing was fixed when I checked Jenkins this morning. Sadly though, KMyMoney fails to launch with an error; missing library. This error related to both the kmymoney-master-928-windows-msvc2019_64-cl.exe and kmymoney-5.1-808-windows-msvc2019_64-cl.exe builds. Same error. The error message reads;

Code: Select all
The code execution cannot proceed because KF5KDELibs4Support.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix tis problem.

Contrary to the message, reinstalling either build does not solve the problem. A bug report has been opened.

I was having a similar error message earlier, for me I think it was because I had installed / uninstalled / installed again and they weren't working cleanly.

Try to make sure that you're running the right executable for the version you just installed, i.e. don't trust that a kmymoney link you set up from a previous version is pointing to the right location.
