I have multiple checking accounts, and investment accounts. I want to record transfer between two checking accounts, or Brokerage accounts. I find two ways of doing these transactions:

a) create a debit transaction in the source account, separately create a credit transaction in the target account. Have the Category of the both the accounts as "Transfer"
b) create a Transfer entry from source account to target account.

When method (b) is used, export of the account in QIF format brings the transactions of type "transfer" only. This is probably due to the fact KmyMoney allows export of only a single account at a time. When importing in to GnuCash or MMEx, management of the account becomes messy.

Please can you suggest which is the recommended approach and how to export multiple accounts.
